  • Several states moving ahead on quality scores for health plans
    States including Oregon, Maryland and Colorado are getting a jump on quality ratings for health plans mandated under the Affordable Care Act. States will rate plans based on quality factors such as breast cancer screening rates, flu shot delivery and treatment of chronic illnesses to help consumers when they are choosing coverage.   • Experts call for flexibility in Medicare cost sharing
    Health care experts told a House subcommittee Tuesday that Medicare should be given flexibility in charging beneficiaries more or less based on the quality and value of services they are receiving.
