- Outdoor fire pits grow in popularity in Calif.
A growing number of residents in California are clamoring for outdoor fire pits and fireplaces as the "fire element" gives them more reason to go out and enjoy the evening in their backyards. "Almost everybody asks for it. Fire adds another element to the yard. It adds ambiance and the drama of the flames. - MIT researchers develop wastewater-treatment process for drilling
Researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology have developed a humidification-dehumidification process to treat water byproducts from the oil and natural gas industry. "If you compare this to a pure evaporation process, you are basically imputing the energy of the latent heat of water. The Propane Education & Research Council will exhibit new propane-fueled irrigation engines and offer producers financial incentives toward purchase of the equipment at the 2013 World Ag Expo Feb. 12 to 14 in Tulare, Calif.
