Alaska's Cordova Times, written off by many when it was sold last year, is thriving, thanks to its determined editor, Jennifer Gibbens, and advertisers that committed to the newspaper for a year to keep it going. research and best practices for newspaper industry executives. Founded in 1946, API is located in Arlington, Va., at the
headquarters of the Newspaper Association of America. The API and NAA Foundation boards voted to merge the NAA Foundation
into API in early 2012. The merger was finalized on February 6, 2012, and the new organization retains the API name.
