Auberge wants luxury ... the responsible way
In order to help brand itself with the value of "responsible luxury," Auberge Resorts is promoting its Earth Month packages in April. Some of the events include spa treatments by candlelight, classes on juicing and meals done on a grill. Hotel CEOs optimistic about industry's future
Four hotel CEOs spoke during a panel at the 25th annual Hunter Hotel Conference on Thursday about the future of the hotel industry. InterContinental streamlining Internet access charges
InterContinental Hotels Group is getting rid of fees for Internet use -- well, sort of. The hotel won't charge guests who are members of its loyalty program for basic Internet service. To get the freebie, guests must sign up for IHG's frequent-guest club (the chain has renamed it the IHG Rewards Club). Some IHG hotels have charged for Wi-Fi, while it's free at lower-end hotels such as Holiday Inn and Staybridge Suites.
