    Durability, energy efficiency and aesthetics are just some of the things to consider when looking at a roof, according to this article. The National Roofing Contractors Association says that warranties are not enough to ascertain the durability of the roof. "[T]he warranty does not necessarily provide assurance of satisfactory roof system performance," NRCA says on its website.
