- Investigation to verify cause of collapsed Mo. sewage basin
A 125-foot breach of a reinforced concrete sewage basin in Neosho, Mo., caused about 10 million gallons of raw sewage and stormwater to spill into a creek last week. City officials are conducting an investigation with HDR Engineering and Branco Construction. "We expect the results of their evaluation to be back to the city within seven days," said Neosho Mayor Richard Davidson. "After we understand from them what did happen, that’s when we’ll start working on a way to fix it." The Joplin Globe (Mo.)

- Building Minn. Zip Rail would create 3,250 construction jobs
The proposed Zip Rail line between Minneapolis/St. Paul and Rochester, Minn., would create 3,250 construction jobs and bring about $1 billion in increased economic activity to the area, according to a study prepared for Rochester Area Economic Development.
