  • Most system integrators are aware of HDBaseT tech, survey finds
    Awareness of the HDBaseT technology, which was introduced in mid-2010, is growing among system integrators, writes Micha Risling, marketing chairman of the HDBaseT Alliance. CEPro surveyed more than 200 professionals in the integrator field and found that almost 80% were familiar with the connectivity technology.   • Netflix has plans for 4K streams by 2015, exec says
    Netflix within the next two years hopes to add 4K streaming capabilities, said Neil Hunt, the video service's chief product officer.   • Tilting Point to put $40M into mobile games over 3 years
    EA Partners founder Tom Frisina, along with other former EA executives, has started Tilting Point, a company that will partner with independent developers of mobile games and invest in some of them. The new firm plans to commit $40 million over three years, investing in games for smartphones and tablet computers, Eric Johnson writes in this article. "We've seen plenty of great games with solid development budgets this year fail because of a lackluster monetization plan or nonexistent marketing," Frisina said.
