EU to investigate trade practices of Huawei, ZTE
The European Commission suspects that Huawei Technologies and ZTE get illegal subsidies from the Chinese government to market their telecommunications equipment in Europe and is launching an investigation into the allegations. AT&T's Stephenson sees LTE as possible rural fixed-line solution
AT&T may turn to Long-Term Evolution technology as an alternative to the complex process of selling its rural fixed-line business, CEO Randall Stephenson suggested Wednesday. He told an investor conference that the carrier might seek an internal solution. "LTE can become a fixed-line replacement or even better than what you get from fixed line," he said. Cisco exec pledges to continue backing diminishing set-top market
