  • John Lewis eyes new suppliers
    Buyers for British department store John Lewis said they were able to meet with dozens of new suppliers thanks to a Meet the Buyer event organized by the British Home Enhancement Trade Association. The meetings are likely to lead to new business, according to buying team leader Louise Stuart.   • U.S. economy grew faster in Q3 than first thought
    The U.S. economy expanded 2.7% in the third quarter, not 2%, as initially estimated, according to the Commerce Department. Most of the growth came from government spending, mainly for military items, and companies stockpiling inventory, the department says.
