    Buyers for British department store John Lewis said they were able to meet with dozens of new suppliers thanks to a Meet the Buyer event organized by the British Home Enhancement Trade Association. The meetings are likely to lead to new business, according to buying team leader Louise Stuart. "We've got to know suppliers we weren't previously aware of who'll definitely be able to do things for us in the future," said Stuart.   • U.S. economy grew faster in Q3 than first thought
    The U.S. economy expanded 2.7% in the third quarter, not 2%, as initially estimated, according to the Commerce Department. Most of the growth came from government spending, mainly for military items, and companies stockpiling inventory, the department says.
