- A+E Networks to pitch revamped Lifetime at upfront
A+E Networks executive Mel Berning, who has just been promoted to president of ad sales, forecasts an upfront increase in the "high single digits" for his portfolio of 10 cable networks and various digital and international extensions. At the top of Berning's agenda for the next year is the rebranding of Lifetime, which is trying to lower its median age demographic of about 49 through new series, such as "The Client List" with Jennifer Love Hewitt, and upcoming projects, including a version of "Steel Magnolias" with Queen Latifah.
