- Report: Sales of deferred-income annuities could surge next year
Deferred-income annuities could be the retirement industry's fastest-growing insurance product on a percentage basis in 2013, a report from the Insured Retirement Institute says. The report suggests that innovative offerings will contribute to the market growth of the products. Also, financially stable carriers and consumers' demand for retirement income will offset low interest rates and other economic concerns, the report says.
