  • 5 marketing must-haves for a winning year
Without the right tools, it's all but impossible to reach your target audience online, writes designer and developer Joe Thomas. Internet-marketing must-haves include a complete, functional and interesting website; a solid public relations message; a good grasp on social media best practices; engaging and fresh content; and a variety of engaging media, such as video. • Get started with measuring customer experience
Tools used to measure customer experience vary with size, company structure or line of business, writes Jeannie Walters, however some tools will be of use to almost any organization. You can start by setting up an Internet search of your brand name, products, competitors and other related keywords; for that, Walters says Hootsuite, Google Alerts and Google Blogs can work. Companies should also provide opportunities for customers and employees to offer suggestions and put a premium on behavioral analytics and customer relationship management, according to Walters. • AHIP urges HHS to address issues with individual mandate
AHIP and individual health insurers are asking HHS to ensure the Affordable Care Act works as it is intended by strengthening provisions associated with the mandate to carry insurance. • Questions to expect regarding indexed universal life
Indexed universal life insurance products, although complicated to explain to clients, can be effective at delivering tax-free retirement income, Katherine Vessenes writes. She recommends outlining the product's pros and cons and answering questions using online tools, illustrations and multiple scenarios to quell client concerns about potential insurer bankruptcies and changes to tax benefits. Vessenes also suggests highlighting the product's flexible premiums. National Underwriter Life & Health (1/9) LinkedInFacebookTwitterEmail this Story

Gender and age are key factors in determining whether employees participate in a telephone-based wellness program, according to a study reported in the American Journal of Health Promotion.
