  • Survey: Consumers prefer bundles from telecoms
    By a substantial majority, consumers would prefer to receive bundled services from telecom companies rather than cable operators, according to the CFI Group, which released its annual satisfaction survey Tuesday.     Customers of Sprint Nextel's new Xohm WiMAX service will face no formal restrictions on their Internet usage, but the company warned that it reserved the right to intervene in extreme instances of bandwidth usage, such as file sharing. With the launch of its WiMAX service in Baltimore, Sprint touted its "open Internet business model" at the same time the carrier referred to its "acceptable use" policy "to make sure no one uses a disproportionate share of the network to the disadvantage of other customers."
