- Southwest, AirTran complete connected network
Southwest Airlines and AirTran Airways have completed linking their networks, creating an integrated booking system for travelers. "With a connected network, we can offer customers more itineraries, more destinations, more low fares, and a taste of what's to come once the integration is complete," Bob Jordan, Southwest's chief commercial officer and AirTran president, said in a statement. - Airbus close to 2013 goal of up to 750 aircraft orders
Airbus is well on its way to achieving the company's goal of adding 700 to 750 aircraft orders for 2013. Airbus received an order for 234 aircraft from Lion Air this month. The aircraft manufacturer had already received 181 aircraft orders in January and February. Reuters
