    The ACI's Cleaning Product Ingredient Safety Initiative is focusing in 2013 on pinpointing and publishing an online, accessible hazard data set for each of the ingredients in the Ingredient Inventory.   • P&G acts to recharge its innovation
    Procter & Gamble has formed a development team that includes its research-and-development leaders, marketers, industrial designers and other stakeholders. Among upcoming products is Cascade Platinum, a dishwashing detergent that cleans the machine and dishes. "Innovation is at the heart of everything we do at P&G.   • For cleaning products, scent matters
    Cleaning-product manufacturers say there is demand for appealing scents, as well as products with seasonal scents. While olfactory preferences have expanded in recent years, some scents just don't translate well to the cleaning product industry. "Consumers equate household products with lighter scents and therefore heavier robust edible ingredients have not been as apparent in this category," said fragrance expert Sue Phillips.     The packaging industry should expand its "reduce, reuse, recycle" philosophy to include "recover" as a way of reflecting comprehensive efforts for post-consumer materials, according to Dow Chemical.
