- Amazon.com experiences first major outage in 2 years
Technical difficulties kept some Amazon.com shoppers from completing orders for several hours on Tuesday, in the first major outage reported by the retail site since June 2008. The glitch, which appeared to be fixed by the evening, also affected Amazon's digital media sales and third-party sellers marketplace, but apparently had no effect on the company's Web-services business, The Wall Street Journal reports.
