Register for the 2015 NASBP Fly-in -- June 9 to 10

On June 10, NASBP members, affiliates and associates will meet with their members of Congress on Capitol Hill for the annual NASBP Legislative Fly-in. The event will begin the evening of Tuesday, June 9, at a pre-Fly-in reception at the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., during which NASBP will provide talking points for Fly-in attendees. Wednesday, June 10, will be dedicated to Capitol Hill appointments and will end with an evening cocktail reception at the Hyatt Regency. This year, NASBP will be hosting a Virtual Seminar at 2 p.m. Eastern time on Thursday, June 4, to discuss this year's legislative issues and talking points. This June 4 Virtual Seminar will be free to all NASBP Fly-in registrants and the NASBP membership. More announcements will be made as program details are finalized. Exhibit at NASBP's April Annual Meeting in San Diego

Classes for the 2015 NASBP Winter School Session that will be held Jan. 25 to 30 in Houston are filling up quickly. Registration is open to nonmembers in addition to NASBP members, affiliates and associates. Take this opportunity to learn the business from the top surety producers and underwriters in the country. Over the course of three days, Level I offers an introduction to the surety industry that familiarizes students with the function and process of bonding with an emphasis on understanding how contractors' financials are analyzed during the underwriting process. The intensive, five-day Level II course teaches students the basics of profiling clients, analyzing work in process, understanding cash flow and its importance to a contractor's financial stability, creating an account submission, dealing with different types of claims, and managing risk.
