NASBE State Ed SmartBrief | Apr 27, 2017

NASBE's New Member Institute will take place June 9-10, 2017. One of NASBE's more popular professional development events, the New Member Institute helps new state board members learn what it takes to be a successful and productive member of their state board of education, build the skills they need to do the job, discuss common policy concerns and issues and real-world examples of how state boards of education are successfully addressing them, establish working relationships with their colleagues from across the country, and gain an understanding of NASBE's resources and how the organization can help them in their important work. Additionally, NASBE member states may send two representatives (including state executives) to the New Member Institute for free. Space is limited -- register today!
