EMIR revision could include one-sided derivatives reporting

The European Commission is considering one-sided derivatives trade reporting in its revised European Market Infrastructure Regulation as a result of Financial Services Commissioner Jonathan Hill's review of post-crisis regulations. "It should be possible to make EMIR more proportionate and continue to mitigate systemic risk in our derivative markets," Hill said on Tuesday. Reuters (05/17)
