Online model of measles outbreaks highlights value of vaccination

Online computer simulations from the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health demonstrate how measles outbreaks spread faster and affect more people in populations with lower vaccination rates. The educational website allows visitors to choose from a section of U.S. cities and view simulations of outbreaks in populations with 95% vaccination rates for school-age children, compared with 80%.
