Gestational diabetes seen in 10% of pregnant women

A study in the CDC's Preventing Chronic Disease journal found as many as 1 in 10 pregnant women develop gestational diabetes, with incidence varying by geographic area. Lead researcher Carla DeSisto said the rate of gestational diabetes has risen along with obesity rates.
