Adam Ferrier to Open 4A's Strategy Festival 2015

Adam Ferrier, global chief strategy officer and partner at Cummins&Partners, will be the opening keynote for 4A's Strategy Festival 2015. Author of "The Advertising Effect: How to Change Behaviour," Ferrier will discuss themes of clinical psychology, behavioral economics and advertising, and present the best way to change behavior. He'll draw upon his time as a prison psychologist and global "cool hunter" to examine changing prison inmates' behavior, creating trends and fads for "cool" people, and of course advertising. How the Latest 401(K) Ruling From the Supreme Court Impacts Your Plan

The U.S. Supreme Court recently ruled unanimously in favor of participants in Edison International's 401(k) plan, who claimed management violated their fiduciary duty to monitor the plan's investment options.

"ERISA's fiduciary duty is derived from the common law of trusts, which provides that a trustee has a continuing duty -- separate and apart from the duty to exercise prudence in selecting investments at the outset -- to monitor, and remove imprudent, trust investments," according to Justice Stephen Breyer.

Employers participating in the 4A's Retirement Trust are covered for this risk with the Trust's unique structure. Other employers should seek to mitigate or eliminate this risk.
