San Francisco warned of maintenance "train wreck"

SMRP SmartBrief | Jul 05, 2016

San Francisco is running the risk of an additional maintenance bill topping $800 million and a "slow motion train wreck" if it doesn't address a $1.3 billion maintenance backlog, according to a civil grand jury finding. City officials argue the situation isn't so dire, and the backlog is because of a long stretch where the city was spending less than it is today. San Francisco Chronicle (free content) (06/28)
