Exelon utility acquisition highlights strategy shift

Exelon's acquisition of Pepco Holdings, approved in Maryland earlier this month, will be the company's biggest move under the leadership of CEO Christopher Crane, who took over in 2012. Crane's plan "is to diversify and grow the business by taking maximum advantage of our integrated business model," said spokesman Paul Adams.
