Women-owned businesses in the U.S. saw a 39% increase in year-over-year revenue, averaging $127,222 in 2014, finds a study by Biz2Credit. Businesses owned by men saw $193,268 in revenue on average, up almost 52%. "Our analysis shows that a gender gap still exists, despite the increased profitability that we are seeing with women-owned business in recent years," said Rohit Arora, CEO of Biz2Credit. "However, women entrepreneurs should feel a sense of optimism, as the numbers indicate that the gap is narrowing." CNBC (03/11) American City Business Journals (03/17)
