Lawsuit accuses MDLive of violating patients' privacy rights

Joan Richards, an MDLive app user, filed a putative class-action lawsuit against the telehealth provider alleging it violated patients' privacy rights by sharing detailed health information with TestFairy, an Israel-based technology company, without consent. "MDLive fails to adequately restrict access to patients' medical information and instead grants unnecessary and broad permissions to its employees, agents and third parties," the lawsuit states.
