CHIME's Branzell expresses concerns over new Medicare identifiers

The CMS' decision to replace Social Security numbers with randomly generated identifiers for 150 million Medicare recipients by 2019 may be unnecessary due to already available identifiers in the Department of Defense and VA and with insurance companies, said CHIME President and CEO Russell Branzell.
