Occupational skin disease tied to risk of MRSA colonization among nurses

A study from Germany's University of Osnabrück found that methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus colonization rates were greater among nurses with hand eczema compared with those who had psoriasis of the hands. The 319-nurse study in Occupational and Environmental Medicine found that MRSA colonization was more likely with atopic skin diathesis and atopic hand eczema. Medscape (free registration) (07/19)
