Fox Corp. reported a 2% revenue increase for the quarter ending in December, driven by a seven-game World Series and strong performances from Fox News and the Tubi streaming service, which sparked higher ad prices. Earnings matched analysts' expectations at 52 cents a share while distribution revenue climbed 4% and cable programming grew by 5%.

A combined Paramount Skydance and Netflix would produce at least 30 films a year, retain HBO's independence, ensure theatrical releases for all movies and preserve the home video window, Paramount CEO David Ellison pledged. President Donald Trump said that he will not intervene in the Justice Department's review of the potential Netflix-Warner Bros. Discovery merger or Paramount's hostile bid for WBD.

YouTube generated more than $60 billion in revenue in 2025, exceeding Netflix's $45.18 billion, Alphabet reported. Marketers say brand spending has failed to keep pace with its leading TV platform, as many large advertisers still allocate larger budgets to traditional TV campaigns, since big brands frequently categorize YouTube spending as digital marketing.

Ad-supported TV viewing reached its highest level of 2025 in the fourth quarter, comprising 74.2% of overall TV viewing and rising 9% from the previous period compared with 7% for all viewing, Nielsen reported. Younger adults and football drove the gains, with a 41% surge among 25-34-year-olds.

Puppy Bowl XXII adds brand partners for event
Animal Planet's Puppy Bowl XXII will feature a record 16 brand partners, including first-time sponsors JetBlue, Ben & Jerry's and Beyond Yoga. The event, airing Sunday across Warner Bros. Discovery networks, will showcase 150 dogs from 72 shelters, including special-needs and senior dogs, in a three-hour adoption-focused event.

Disney expands interactive CTV ad reach with BrightLine
Disney Advertising is expanding its partnership with data-driven ad firm BrightLine to bring interactive connected TV ad formats to Disney+ and Fubo TV after being limited to Hulu. The formats, which include product carousels, trivia and advergames, are also available programmatically across Disney's streaming inventory and follow its acquisition of Fubo.
