National CineMedia has made Clifford Marks its new president, promoting Marks from his previous role as president of sales and marketing. Marks has been with NCM for 14 years, during which time "he has successfully inspired the sales team to new heights," NCM CEO Andy England said in statement.

"Captain America: Civil War" closed its opening weekend in the US with $181.79 million in ticket sales, which compares to the $65 million and $95 million, the first two "Captain America" movies took in, respectively. In its international debut, the movie took in $200 million, playing in 14 markets abroad and opened at the No. 1 spot in all of the locations.

Spotlight partnership brings Vimeo films to indie theaters
Vimeo will have its short films played in a selection of US art house and independent theaters after cementing a partnership with Spotlight Cinema Networks. "Spotlight’s educated, affluent audience and theaters specializing in the best of independent films and luxury cinema, are very much in line with the Vimeo audience and make them the perfect theatrical partner for this program," Vimeo's Richard Bloom said.

National CineMedia reported first-quarter revenue of $76.2 million, which outpaced analyst expectations. Full-year revenue is projected to come in between $463 million and $473 million.

The Securities and Exchange Board of India will be using in-cinema advertising to make consumers more aware of things such as Ponzi schemes and dabba trading. Sebi also has intentions on focusing its educational efforts on specific public service groups, such as police officers and teachers.
