Nurses are integral to patient satisfaction
Demand is growing for nurses with bachelor's degrees and higher. Fla. is expected to be among leaders in demand for nurses
Nurses are in high demand in Florida, and the state is among the projected leaders for job growth in the field, according to Candace Moody of CareerSource Northeast Florida. Bedside dosing verification tool designed by pediatric nurses
A prototype mobile tool was designed by Boston Children's Hospital nurses to allow a second nurse to remotely verify bedside drugs and doses. Using an iPod camera, RNSafe captures the label of the drug to be dispensed, enabling the second nurse to verify the medications and record the administered drug and dose on a dashboard. The tool can also be used by the verifying nurse to send an instant message to the bedside nurse. FDAnews (5/4)
