Oregon health care facilities are moving ahead with expansion plans expected to lead to hundreds of jobs and meet increasing demand as more people gain heath care coverage through the Affordable Care Act. Study: Personality a factor in selecting nursing specialty
A review of study data suggests that nurses may select their specialty areas based in part on personality traits, researchers report in BMC Nursing. Oncology, emergency and renal nurses were relatively more likely to be introverted; critical care nurses scored higher than average for self-sufficiency; and oncology and palliative care nurses had higher scores for emotional sensitivity.
