Hospice, home health jobs for nurses to increase, experts say
The aging U.S. population and a predicted shortage of health care workers means hospice and home health are becoming employment growth areas for registered nurses. Why a holistic admissions process promotes diversity
The health care workforce does not always reflect the nation's demographics, which may promote inequities in care, but that could change if nursing and medical schools switched to a more holistic admissions process, write University of Cincinnati College of Nursing Dean Greer Glazer and UC President Santa Ono. The process would expand acceptance criteria to reflect applicants' experiences and background and their potential for success. The Huffington Post (11/5)
