Nursing school sees Ebola as a teaching moment
Nursing faculty at the University of Texas-Arlington are using Ebola concerns as a teaching opportunity, employing different strategies to instruct nursing students on caring for Ebola patients, says Anne Bavier, the nursing school dean. Ariz. school district searches for more nurses
The Tucson Unified School District is recruiting school nurses, even posting signs at a local medical center. Health Director Donna Johnson says some nurses are responsible for multiple schools, and she is concerned that a lack of coverage raises risks in life-threatening events such as an asthma attack or a food allergy reaction.
