N.M.'s Medicaid expansion creates need for more APRNs
Medicaid enrollment has increased in New Mexico since the state expanded its program eligibility. But for nurse practitioner Jodi Padgett, who runs Sage Family Medicine in Farmington, the extra patients present a dilemma, because Medicaid payments are lower than those of other payers.
