UN envoy mediates latest round of Syria peace talks
Talks between representatives from the Syrian government and rebel forces began today in Kazakhstan, mediated by United Nations Syrian envoy Staffan de Mistura. A cease-fire is expected to be the focal point of the discussions.

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres denounced anti-Semitism as "a manifestation of racism" and promised to keep the memory of the Holocaust alive. He spoke at a synagogue in New York, where he was introduced by Holocaust survivor Rabbi Arthur Schneier.
