This study concluded that among atrial fibrillation patients, heart failure and permanent atrial fibrillation each nearly triple the odds of developing bradycardia requiring a permanent pacemaker; while not statistically significant, our results suggest that women are more likely and African-Americans less likely to develop bradycardia requiring pacemaker implantation.  The American Journal of Cardiology (11/1)
